College Righteous Mission

This week Morg and I have been apart of College Righteous Mission x3 part of CUMC. We have been staying in downtown Detroit but working in Pontiac. We are working on the outside play area of a soon to be daycare for Grace Center of Hope. It is an organization that helps people recover and restore their lives. They work solely through donations and volunteers!

So far we have torn up grass, dug post holes, constructed a playground (more difficult than it sounds), moved the dirt and grass again (this time into the dumpster), moved the rubber chips under the playground.... forgot the tarp that goes underneath... had to move the chips off then back on after the tarp was laid, scraped the inside wall and primed it, laid sod, built 2 picnic benches and a sandbox, and finally tomorrow we are painting the outside of the wall and cleaning up our mess. The before and after pictures are going to be DRASTIC!!

I have started my online class this week. It is going to be more work than I want, but I know I can do it. I have to keep up with it everyday!

For our evening event tonight we went bowling at The Majestic Garden Bowl. It is the oldest bowling alley in America! It was built in 1913! I bowled really well lol. I got better and better, this is because I figured out what ball worked best! And I improved my aim too! After bowling we got McFlurries!! YUMM!

This weekend the adventure of FINALLY moving to the Island begins!!!!

I am two days away from being done with high school!!!! eeep! i am so unbelievably excited to be done with high school, but i am anxious for what next year will bring!

i am going to CMU and today i picked my room and my roommates! i hope we get along, lol. it will be weird to have everything change, i have been in a small private school my whole life and now i am starting a new chapter in a huge university! CRAZY!!

but for now all i can think about is Graduation, Graduation parties and a crazy fun summer!!

... i just have to get through these next two days with 3 exams, 1 paper, and a blanket to finish sewing
